Over the course of ten years, Harriet Tubman completed approximately 19 trips freeing over 300 slaves through the Underground Railroad. Much like Superman, she continuously put herself in great danger, and it was her superhuman strength that carried her through in fearless pursuit of leading other slaves toward the freedom she found. As aliens in their own land and referred to as children of the sun, Harriet Tubman and Superman used their powers for a higher purpose, even if it meant leading a double life.
